As an intern for TIME, I worked in design templates, assisted in photo selections and shadowed art directors.
As media director at the Virginia B. Ball Center for Creativity, I often designed outreach posters for sponsored lectures.
For this two-page spread, I teamed up with a co-worker and learned 3D modeling program, “Cinema 4D.” We not only illustrated the laboratory but provided a reader-friendly layout to explain the project.

As art director of Expo Magazine at Ball State University, I designed this spread in InDesign and wrote the accompanying story about a taboo topic of female sexuality.
In Photoshop I crafted a map of the discovery site of Europe’s oldest natural human mummy. Worked with science editors for accuracy. For an additional layer of visual impact, added stones found near Ötzi.
As communications specialist at the University of Illinois, College of Education, I art-directed and designed the 2010 Profile, which highlights college achievements. For this center spread I also shot all the photos. Entire profile available as download.
